Alternative Pregnancy Center exists to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ
and life-affirming pregnancy options to those experiencing unplanned pregnancy.
We offer pregnancy support through education,
hope and healing for those who’ve experienced abortion,
and promote sexual purity through a God-honoring lifestyle.
Statement of Principle
Alternative Pregnancy Center (APC) is an outreach ministry of Jesus Christ through His Body, the Church and First Baptist Church Merritt Island.
·APC does not engage in political advocacy for the pro-life ministry. We seek to stand on ‘compassion side’ of the pro-life issue by offering help, hope, and healing to those in crisis or hurt by past abortions.
·APC is committed to providing its clients with accurate and complete information about both prenatal development and the short-term and long-term effects of abortion.
·APC is committed to earning client’s trust by using integrity and providing promised information and services. APC denounces any form of deception in its corporate advertising or individual conversations with its clients.
·APC is committed to assisting women to carry to term by providing emotional support and practical assistance. Through the provision of God’s people and the community at large, women may face the future with hope and plan constructively for themselves and their babies.
·APC does not discriminate in providing services because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, marital status, or religion of its clients.
·APC does not recommend, provide, or refer for abortion or abortifacients.
·APC offers assistance free of charge at all times.
·APC is committed to creating awareness within the local community of the needs of pregnant women and of the fact that abortion only compounds problems rather than resolving them.
·APC does not recommend, provide, or refer single women for contraceptives. (Married women seeking contraceptive information should be urged to seek counsel, along with their husbands, from their pastor and/or physician.)
·APC is a strong advocate of adoption as a loving alternative to abortion. The Center is not a licensed adoption agency but makes referrals to local adoption agencies in the same manner as to other community resources. APC receives no payment of any kind from these agencies, does not enter into contractual relationships with them, and do not share combined office space. Adoption agencies are not established under the auspices of the Center. APC neither initiates nor facilitates independent adoptions.
