At His Table

At His Table is the disability ministry of First Baptist Church Merritt Island, dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities and their families experience the love of Christ and become fully engaged in the life of the church.

We believe every person is uniquely created in the image of God, deeply loved by Him, and gifted to serve His Kingdom. Our desire is to remove barriers so that our Friends of all abilities can worship, grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and use their gifts to glorify God.

Our Vision

To glorify God by creating a church where our Friends with disabilities and their families are welcomed, valued, and discipled throughout every stage of life. We envision a Christ-centered community where every person is encouraged to grow in faith, discover their God-given purpose, use their spiritual gifts, and participate fully in the life and mission of the Church.

From childhood through adulthood, we are committed to providing opportunities for worship, fellowship, discipleship, service, and leadership so that people of all abilities may know Christ, follow Him faithfully, and make Him known.

Everyone Has a Place At His Table

At His Table is more than a ministry—it is a commitment to building a church where everyone belongs. Whether you are a child, teenager, or adult with a disability, or a family seeking a church that understands and welcomes you, we invite you to join us. Together we seek to follow Christ, grow in His Word, serve one another, and make His love known throughout our community.

If you have questions about the ministry, would like to discuss how we can best support your family, or if you want to register your loved in one of our ministries, please contact Pastor Justin Rennert, at jrennert@fbcmi.com. We have a very basic online Plan of Care below for you to fill out that will help us get to know your loved one even before we meet them. Then we’d love the opportunity to answer your questions and get suggestions from you.

Sensory Supports

We understand that every individual experiences worship differently. Sensory bags are available for classrooms and the Sunday morning worship service. These resources help our Friends with sensory needs remain comfortable, engaged, and able to participate more fully in worship and learning. Sensory bags for our worship service can be checked out at the Information Desk in the lobby.
