The Spirit of Christ within us creates a Devotion to the Word of God among us.
Being devoted to the word of God includes two critical dynamics:
- Being devoted to God’s word means we must preach and teach the Bible. (Acts 6:2-5)
- Being devoted to God’s word means we must learn and obey the Bible. (Acts 2:42 - they devoted “themselves” to the apostle’s teaching)
5 Practical points for learning the Bible.
- Read and Study it. (2 Timothy 2:15)
- Memorize it. (Psalm 119:11)
- Meditate on it. (Psalm 1:1-2)
- Believe it. (1 Thessalonians 2:13)
- Obey it. (James 1:22-23)
