The Spirit of Christ within us creates a Devotion to the Word of God among us.

Being devoted to the word of God includes two critical dynamics:

• Being devoted to God’s word means we must preach and teach the Bible. (Acts 6:2-5)
• Being devoted to God’s word means we must learn and obey the Bible.  (Acts 2:42 - they devoted “themselves” to the apostle’s teaching)

5 Practical points for learning the Bible.

1. Read and Study it.  (2 Timothy 2:15)
2. Memorize it.  (Psalm 119:11)
3. Meditate on it. (Psalm 1:1-2)
4. Believe it. (1 Thessalonians 2:13)
5. Obey it. (James 1:22-23)
