MarkAt FBCMI, we desire for every man, woman, and child to have repeated opportunities to hear and respond to the Gospel where they live, work, learn, and play.

The word Gospel means GOOD NEWS! God loves us, even though we are sinners, and has provided for the forgiveness of our sins through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.

The Bible teaches that "The wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23).

Even though we are sinners, God poured all his wrath against sin on Jesus at the cross for you and me. Romans 5:8 tells us, "But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

We receive the gift of God’s forgiveness by admitting we are sinners, believing God sent Jesus to die in our place, then raised him from the dead, and confessing Jesus as our Savior and Lord.

We cannot earn God’s forgiveness; we can only receive it by faith alone. Romans 10:9-10 explains, "Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."

You can receive God’s offer of forgiveness by faith through prayer today! Repeat the words of the prayer below if they express your heartfelt desire to receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord.

Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner who has wronged you and others by my words and actions. I believe you placed all my sins on Jesus and punished him on a cross in my place. I now confess Jesus as my Savior and Lord and desire to follow him. I realize I can do nothing to earn your forgiveness. And I thank you for the free gift of Jesus who now lives in me!

If you placed your faith in Jesus today, the Bible tells us that God has made you into a new creation!

Listen to what 2 Corinthians 5:17 says about you, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."

If that is you, or if you have questions about becoming a Christ follower, please contact me. I would love to hear from you and help you begin walking with Jesus by faith.

God bless!
