Our Beliefs
We are a Bible-believing, multi-generational church that preaches and teaches the whole counsel of God's Word. We are actively involved with community outreach and global missions. We believe in Christian education and Merritt Island Christian School is a ministry of our church. We enjoy partnering with like-minded churches to reach our community for Christ. We are a Southern Baptist Church and align our beliefs with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.
Our History and Heartbeat
The First Baptist Church of Merritt Island has had a presence and a name in our community for over 70 years. Our FIRST love is Jesus Christ, and our FIRST priority is sharing the gospel of Christ. We are a church committed to the great commission, first to the community around us, then to our county, our state, and then to the world at large.
Our Core Values
We are a body of believers that seek to be known by our active faith, uncompromised truth, passionate unity, extravagant grace, and humble service.
Active Faith
"And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him." Hebrews 11:6
Uncompromised Truth

Passionate Unity
